Manufacturing Industry Sector Partnership Meeting
Join us for our first ever Pathways Wisconsin State Forum. This unique event will be held in four different locations across the state. The purpose of the Pathways Wisconsin State Forum is to:
- Collaborate to support regional talent pipeline development in partnership with business, economic development, and public agencies
- Provide details on Wisconsin’s K12 Career Pathways project to attract, highlight, andenroll high school students in high demand occupational sectors
- Showcase K12 education-employer partners through Inspire and the Business Friends of Education
Event time: 8:00a.m. - 3 p.m. Registration Options: All Day, Morning Session Only, Lunch, or *Afternoon Session Only - *The afternoon session at the Indianhead location will be focusing on the Manufacturing Industry Sector Partnership including employers and community support partners.
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and Pathways Wisconsin Regional Career Pathways Directors will present a unique opportunity to collaborate locally, in face to face conversations, supplemented with time connecting all four regions and state team members together via technology!
The morning program will provide general information about Pathways Wisconsin in all four pilot regions. We will also hear from a regional panel about overcoming silos and how this work connects to many of our existing initiatives in Northwest Wisconsin. The Regional Collaborative Panel in the Indianhead Region will feature:
- An Industry Champion
- Workforce Development
- Economic Development
- CESA 11(K12)
- Institutions of Higher Education
Afternoon Session 1 - 3:00 p.m.
Our afternoon session in the Indianhead region will focus specifically on our first Manufacturing Industry Sector Partnership. In this session we will be inviting manufacturing employers from across our region to discuss their unique opportunities for growth, critical occupations, and the skills and competencies an employee needs to be successful. We will also have our regional community support partners(workforce development, economic development, K12, higher education) in the room but in listening mode ONLY to hear the needs and opportunities in filling our talent pipeline in manufacturing.
